TM EVENTS TRENDS

1. Immersive Technology: AR, XR, and VR

“Keep an eye out for these fast-growing trends becoming more accessible: Augmented Reality (AR), Extended Reality (XR), and Virtual Reality (VR) are becoming mainstream, enabling immersive, interactive experiences that redefine engagement. The next steps will be reducing the financial outlay required whilst enabling simpler customisation of AR/VR/XR environment. This space is primed for one or several companies to provide a building blocks style environment where planners can drag and drop content  ” – Max

From virtual product showcases to hybrid events that merge physical and digital worlds, technology is revolutionising how audiences experience events. Once the financial and technical barriers for entry are lowered the virtual event space will become ubiquitous and mature as a product.

2. Wellness-Centric Events

“Wellness takes center stage, with events increasingly designed to foster mindfulness. Trends and preferences of Gen Z will influence event planning more than ever, with alcohol-free networking spaces and wellness-focused activities becoming normalised.” – Max

This shift underscores the growing demand for events that prioritise attendee health and emotional well-being, creating spaces that are inclusive, energising, and mindful.
With Gen Z entering the workforce and influencing event dynamics, companies are prioritising spaces and creating event experiences that promote emotional well-being and focus on inclusivity.

3. Upskilling Through AI

“We’re predicting a major emphasis on upskilling to leverage AI for purposes beyond content generation, such as predictive analytics, data validation and hyper-personalised attendee experiences.” – Max

From tailoring event content to refining logistics, AI is becoming a key driver of enhanced decision-making, efficiency and innovation, and to deliver unparalleled attendee engagement. Event planners will need to understand how language models such as Gemini & Chat GPT work in order leverage these tools effectively. The event planners’ tech stack will likely see AI monitoring of audience sentiment, crowd management simulations and event chat bots become available to help make complexity easier to understand.

4. Personalisation and Tailored Experiences

Attendees increasingly expect not just tailored digital experiences, but physical, take-home items that reflect their individuality. Brands are meeting this demand with low-cost, high-impact activations—like IKEA’s initials-on-a-bag giveaway or Pinterest’s instant collage-to-tote experience at CES. These activations offer an interactive, memorable moment while reinforcing brand identity in a way that attendees carry with them, literally.

This approach is scalable, social-media-friendly and taps into the growing trend of customization without breaking event budgets. It also transforms passive attendees into active brand participants, creating a sense of ownership and deeper emotional connection.

TM TRAVEL TRENDS

1. The Rise of Bleisure (Blended Business and Leisure Travel)

“With the change of focus around employee wellbeing and the increase in employees ‘working from anywhere’, blending work with leisure continues to grow. We are already experiencing a large number of travellers who are either extending business trips for personal exploration or are bringing families along with them on their travels, and we expect this trend to continue to grow.” – James

As hybrid and remote work become permanent fixtures, companies are rethinking their travel policies to encourage employees to take advantage of these blended opportunities. The overlap of work and leisure is not just a perk but a new norm, reshaping how we define business travel.

2. Sustainability Takes the Spotlight

“Companies are increasingly choosing travel providers with strong environmental practices, such as carbon offset programs, sustainable fuel initiatives, and eco-friendly accommodations. Corporate travel policies now emphasise green choices to align with broader ESG goals.” – James

3. Rapid Adoption of Generative AI

“We are expecting to see an increased adoption of Generative AI within the travel space in 2025. There were big movements across the industry in 2024 and this will further grow as we move through the year. AI currently provides huge benefits in improving internal efficiencies and enhancing customer/client experience and we are strategically planning further ways we can adopt AI to improve our service and delivery.” – Ross

4. Exploration of New and Diverse Destinations:

Travellers and event planners are seeking unique and less traditional venues to provide fresh and engaging experiences for attendees. This trend also helps in managing issues like overtourism and supports sustainable tourism practices.

TM STUDIO TRENDS

1. The Shift to Motion Content: Non-Static Shareable Activations

“In 2025, video content is dominating social media platforms, pushing the creative industry toward dynamic, video-based activations. These aren’t just static photo ops anymore—they’re motion-driven experiences designed for sharing.” – Nic

What’s Driving This Trend?

Interactive Video Booths: Spaces where guests can create slow-motion, time-lapse, or boomerang videos with integrated themes.
Dynamic Backdrops: Moving elements like kinetic LED walls, augmented reality overlays, or interactive props.
Real-Time Content Editing: On-site stations where attendees can edit and brand their videos before sharing.

2. Sustainability at the Forefront

“The move toward sustainability isn’t just a nice-to-have anymore—it’s a must. Designers are embracing eco-conscious materials and practical applications to make events greener.” – Charlotte

Key Approaches:

Reusable Installations: Durable materials like bamboo, reclaimed wood, and recycled plastics are being used for structures that can be repurposed post-event.
Minimalist Aesthetics: ‘Less is more’ philosophies reduce waste while enhancing thoughtful design.
Eco-Friendly Signage: Innovations like seed paper signage allow attendees to plant their takeaways.

3. 3D Design Identities: Bold, Maximalist Graphics

“Event branding is going bigger and bolder. By embracing 3D design, we’re seeing a new level of engagement through intricate details and immersive visuals.” – Nic. From logos to stage graphics, 3D design is a core trend in event aesthetics with vibrant and tactile elements.

What Makes 3D Design Stand Out?

Digitally Crafted Elements: Logos and visuals with three dimensional forms and detailed materials like metal, glass, or fabric.
Immersive Visuals: Going beyond flat screens with holographic or augmented reality effects.

4. Motion Graphics: Dynamic Brand Storytelling

“As video continues to dominate digital spaces, motion graphics have become a powerful tool for storytelling, bringing depth and energy to event visuals.” – Charlotte. From smooth 2D animations to kinetic typography, motion graphics are transforming how brands communicate at events. Motion graphics are being integrated into welcome screens, event trailers, and social media teasers. They’re also being projected onto surfaces or used in AR-enhanced signage for interactive touchpoints.

Trending Features:
Kinetic Typography: Moving text adds flair to presentations and videos.
Integrated Narratives: Motion graphics blend seamlessly into visuals, creating cohesive brand stories.
